Although, Cinder and Ella have similarities such as living with their step mother and step sisters, falling for a prince, attending a ball and having past away parents I noticed a lot of differences. Cinder is a book about a mechanic cyborg who lives in a futuristic setting in New Beijing. Cinder lives with her step sisters and mother but only bonds with one of them, which is her step sister Peony. Later on in the book Peony is affected by a contagious plague called letumosis, letumosis is a virus killing many Earthians due to the struggle of finding a cure of the strange sickness. Dr. Erland and many other scientist try their best to find the cure but once they do from the lunar queen Levana before Peony can take it, Peony passes away at the hospital in front of Cinder. …show more content…
Cinderella's step family treats her very poorly so she runs away into forest and meets a charming prince who she then falls in love with. The prince assists she goes to a ball being held soon to see her again. Right when Cinderella gives up all hope to go to the ball her fairy godmother appears and makes her a beautiful dress, glass shoes, and a carriage out of a pumpkin with a spell that will make everything disappear at midnight. Ella goes to the ball and as soon as she knows it she is at the ball dancing with the prince. She was having so much fun she barely notices it is about to strike midnight and rushes out leaving only her glass slipper to track her. The prince wants to know who she is as that he too had fallen in love with her so he invited all the dames in the area to try on the shoe, he mentions if it is a perfect fit he will take their hand in marriage. Eventually the prince finds and tries the shoe on Ella, it was a fit! Finally they lived happily ever after married to each
