An overtime class action lawsuit was filed against a California hospice and palliative care group known as Seasons. The lawsuit includes allegations that the defendants, Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care Group of California, Inc. refused to pay the plaintiffs in the case appropriate overtime pay as required by labor law. In addition, plaintiffs claim that the hospice and palliative care group failed to offer required rest periods and meal breaks as outlined in the California Labor Code. Basic overtime wages for non-exempt employees of Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care of California, Inc. are not in question/are not in dispute.

Resident Assistant, Mari Odake and Sara Earnheart were doing a health and safety check and saw a fridge in the living room that might be bigger than the one they can have it in the apartment. Also, they noticed the fire detectors in the whole apartment was taken off and hidden. RA Odake asked Marcus Lyons where the fire detectors are and he said that they did not come with the apartment. Green Acres Cemetery really surprised me with all of the different types of memorials they had there. While most of the grave markers were traditional-looking headstones, there were also several giant and elaborate memorials. There was one memorial in particular towards the back of the cemetery that had a concrete divider around the whole plot and it contained a whole family. There was a very large memorial in a tombstone shape at the head of the plot that had a picture of the husband, wife, and daughter-who was holding her puppy, and one single date of death for all three of them engraved into it. The memorial had steps coming down from it, and a bench attached as well and all appeared to be made out

Field Trip Assignment When considering the entities involved with death and dying, the first place that came to my mind was the funeral home. When someone in your life passes away, you likely find yourself at the funeral home or at least becoming aware of funeral arrangements soon after the death. This is the route I went with and decided to visit Reigle Funeral Home for my field trip assignment. The Reigle location that I traveled to was on Pierson Road in Flushing, Michigan.
