Casual Analysis Essay
In criminal justice, there are a number of causes that can possibly lead up to an individual’s reactions. Some of the reactions are as follows: trauma, grief, unemployment, and financial problems. These reactions will cause people to go insane and wound up killing there selves. It can even trigger people to commit homicide. Dealing with the reactions, people can end up in mental hospitals and even jail. Studies have showed that suicide takes the lives of 40,000 Americans every year ("Suicide Effects "). As long as trauma, grief, employment, and financial issues are problems that people go through, homicide and suicide will always be issues. Grief is an emotion of sadness, unhappiness, and even sorrow. Normally grief happens when a person loses a loved one. This emotion is actually normal. It depends on how bad the mind and body takes in the grief. There are three stages of grief. The stages are numbness, disorganization, and reorganizations (Weitzman). Numbness is the first stage and it occurs as soon as death happens. In the numbness stage, people become shocked and cannot believe death has happened. Being in the numbness stage, can also cause people to become angry with them. They will even believe that it could be there fault to why the person has died. This could make a person feel that they should harm themselves. The second stage is disorganization. Disorganization begins when the first stage, numbness, wears off. In this stage physical things will happen to the person’s body. Their throat will feel tight and they will feel shortness of breath (Weitzman). Also, they will not know how to stop these symptoms of grief. Studies have stated that it could cause heart attacks to happen. The last stage is reorganization. In the reorganization stage, most people weep and take out all their anger. This is the stage that most people are afraid of considering the fact that people always act against crying and try to retaliate towards their selves (Weitzman). Not having a job means that you can not support yourself in this world. Without a job, it is hard to survive in this lifetime. Dealing with unemployed can really affect a person both physically and emotionally. There are many reactions to being unemployed such as mental health , tension dealing with things at home, crime and violence , social life , and last suicide cases. Not having a job can cause you to suffer from depression which is tied into mental health. Depression means to feel down about a situation or to feel sadness. Not being able to find a job can cause you to have low self-esteem. Low self-esteem had been proven to be an issue dealing with mental illness. When people have low –self-esteem, it causes them to do things that they later will regret. When people can not find a decent job it stirs up drama with in the household. Everybody has to find a way of living and you can not live with out having a territory to sleep and eat in. This can cause to great depression that will eventually make people question
