WW2 memorandum It is hard to find one explanation for the start of World War 2. I think it is a mix of several events that lead to and caused World War. Therefor there are also several events and acts that could have prevented World War 2 in happening. Some of the causes are The treaty of Versailles, The bombing of Pearl Harbor, Japanese Imperialism, The Munich Agreement and American Isolationism. They are all events that lead to World War 2 and they could have been prevented in various ways. The Treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty signed in Paris by the allies in june, 28 1919 and that was the end of World War 1. The treaty was meant to prevent a similar war to happen again. The German government signed the treaty under protest Right-wing German parties attacked it as a betrayal, and terrorists assassinated several politicians whom they considered responsible. Part 1 of The Treaty of Versailles created The League of Nations and that is where I think the treaty went wrong. The US was already unhappy with Japan’s increasingly belligerent attitude toward China. Then America chose to respond to the action with a battery of economic sanctions and trade embargoes. That made the Japanese government more determined to stand their ground. It lead to months of negotiations between Tokyo and washington, D.C., Later on that lead to America going into World War 2. Actually if The Bombing of Pearl Harbor happened a little bit before it did, America would have joined the war in Europe earlier and therefore the war would have been ended earlier.
