But, sometimes you have to look on the bright side of things. In the stories Challenger Deep and Fish Cheeks the characters Caden and Amy both show being nervous by their thoughts and their actions.

Caden shows he is nervous by his actions and thoughts and how scared he was all of the time. This story is about a kid named Caden, who is very confused with how his life is going. One situation is where he is anxious is at school because he thinks someone is out to get him. He thinks someone wants to kill him. So he ditches school. “Well… I think he wants to kill me.” (Shusterman 9). This quote proves that Caden is nervous because his mind is always racing thinking about what other people are doing. He worries about what others are thinking about him or what he thinks others want to do to him.Cadens thoughts and actions show how nervous and anxious he feels all the time.

And that night people were coming over for dinner and so she did not want them to judge her culture or the foods they eat. Then at the dinner table her father embarrassed her.
