A very interesting time after the French and Indian War. There were a lot of things that caught my attention in this chapter. One being the fact that the French and local tribes worked together to fight the British as well as trade and supply one another for survival. Another was how Pontiac’s Rebellion and the Paxton Boys’ were early American race wars. It is not surprising that no one could identify or wanted to identify any of the murderers from the Paxton Boys.
Khristy Hernandez 1AB Mrs.Carroll Place: Seabourn Elementary School, 1st graders Time: 4 hours and 14 minutes The point for this observation was to ask my mentor ‘ What has been the biggest challenge for her in relation to providing accommodations?’ And ‘ How she overcame that challenge?’ Her biggest challenge in relation to providing accommodations is the fact that you need to customize each kid's needs, like homeschooling, free lunch, and getting teachers to take out kids out of class for 15 minutes just to help them get better at reading or anything else.

One experience I think that has helped me prepare for the role of an Apprentice is my present job; this job has allowed me to work directly with both students and teachers in a school setting. This experience has allowed me to learn about school culture, creating curriculums around teamwork and has most of all allowed me to learn how to build rapport with students based of their interest and needs. Another experiences I have had that I think makes me a great candidate for this apprenticeship opportunity is being apart of the inaugural class of Guttman Community College. The reason why I make this claim is because being apart of this community taught me to take initiative, because there was no clubs and no platform furthermore, as inaugural
As a child, I was identified as precocious, but I had few viable options to achieve more than what McKeesport dictated. After three years in a charter school, my parents made one of the best
Legacy Statement The knowledge and skills that I will obtain from Grand Canyon University College of Education, will enable me to be an effective educator in the classroom. The educational philosophy adopted by GCU will allow me to apply learning, and serving to the educational profession. The legacy I will leave on the field on education is one that focuses on helping each individual child meet their full potential regardless of their learning abilities and circumstances. I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which they can grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as a future educator to help students meet their full potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe,
Paragraph 1- My first impressions of Zion Luther Elementary school and the students were that The classroom management and 0rganization throughout the classroom the teacher motivated the kids to pay attention and learn by being able to discuss the objective after the kids did a small activity. The teacher taught a lesson and had the class congregated to the rug by the teacher and she maintained the students' attention by allowing each of the kids to raise their hands and answer what the teacher is asking and being respectful and patient when others would answer. The diversity in the school and throughout the classroom, there wasn't a lot of variety, as well as in the classroom, however, I do think that the school, the community as a whole
I am submitting this letter for the position of a middle grades English teacher at Northside Elementary School. The desire for equal opportunities fuels my ambitions to be a school counselor. Despite all of our differences as people in America, what we all have in common is the fact that schooling of some sort is a requirement. Working as a school counselor will provide me with the opportunity to be an ally to students, while on the frontlines to combating issues that adversely impact
I want to become an assistant principal for one simple reason, the children. I believe that all children can learn under the right conditions. With this in mind, I feel that instructional leaders are responsible for ensuring that the conditions for learning are embedded in the school’s culture. Although my role as a Learning Team Facilitator enables me to have an impact on the academic achievement of students through working with teachers, I believe that becoming an assistant principal will help me to be more of a driving force throughout the school. I possess several personal attributes that are essential in serving in the capacity of an assistant principal.
Thematic Introduction This week’s theme is “My Role is About Their Future.” I believe that this theme is important for EC-6th grade teachers to understand because this theme encompasses what it means to be a teacher. To me, teaching is all about helping the doctors, lawyers, teachers, therapists, etcetera of the future. This theme also means that teachers need to focus on teaching the “whole child” and not just a part of a child. It means that teachers must teach their students content knowledge as well as morals.
Accomplishments This school was considered a one room school house, therefore, has a teacher I wore many hats. My accomplishments are the many skills, knowledge, and abilities I developed through my one year at this school. Some of the many skills and developed abilities that allowed me to appreciate and understand the importance of preparing students for the twenty-first century. As a teacher, I had to put the necessary principles and application theories into practice for effective instruction and positive behavioral supports that are beneficial to all my students.
One of the unique aspects of the Department of Child Development and Family Relations is that many of the department’s large core courses offer teaching assistant opportunities to undergraduate students. Teaching assistant opportunities are valuable for undergraduate students to decide whether to apply as a graduate teaching position, great addition to a resume, and for a letter of recommendation. From my teaching assistant experience, I was able to fully grasp the concepts of middle childhood development, form a new appreciation for professors and teaching assistants, and reflect on myself as a student. In addition, I had the opportunity to strengthen several essential skills such as organizational skills, leadership skills, and communication
