Over time there have been many people who have impacted humanity and have had a lasting effect on the world. Some of them I have learned about in this class. I am surprised as to how much they have done and the knowledge that they have contributed to the world.
Charles Darwin is a scientist who wanted to change how people think and feel about evolution. Charles Darwin’s contribution to scientific knowledge is one that will last forever. Darwin wrote about natural selection and how based on our genes. This has played a big impact in people’s beliefs all over the world, Darwin has changed the minds of many people. An example of natural selection could be that if one species is a better hunter then they are going to live longer than the other species who may not be a good hunter.
Marie Curie She was a physicist and a chemist. She won the Nobel peace prize twice. Once was with her husband in physics becoming the first woman to win the Nobel peace prize in physics and the second was for chemistry. Her contribution was that she discovered the elements of radium and polonium and did significant work regarding radioactivity.
