This novel features an intriguing tale of two boys who grew up under the same circumstances, under the same names, and with the same chances; and yet one manages to become a Rhodes Scholar, decorated combat veteran, White House Fellow, and business leader while the other grew up heisting and selling drugs until he received a life sentence for felony murder after shooting a police officer. The more successful Wes Moore, Wes Moore, began to visit the less successful Wes Moore, the other Wes Moore, during his prison sentence in order to write the book. Furthermore, the book turned out to be great.

Many argue that a person’s nature, other wise known as their physical surroundings, could affect how successful someone could become in their future. Others argue that it is a person's nurture that determine their successfulness. In “The Other Wes Moore,” Wes Moore, the author, and the other Wes Moore share the same name and similar lives, but only one manifested himself into a successful life. How did only one Wes Moore manage to make his life successful?

When Wes Moore is meeting with his incarcerated acquaintance, who is also named Wes Moore, the two are discussing where their life stories diverged. Both had similar upbringings, neither with a father figure, but with different support systems. The author Wes Moore, who was sent to military school as a teenager, is now a successful and highly regarded entrepreneur.
Wes Moore. The guy that had a lot of obstacles through his life that got him where he is today, but he didn’t do it alone. Just like anyone you need to have a positive influence on your life. It could be anyone teacher, boss, parent, friend. Anyone that drives you to want to succeed and for Wes that was his mother, Joy.
Molly and Gerry Leadership create change. Boaz Yakin’s film Remember the Titans and Philips Noice film Rabbit Proof Fence, both show that the protagonist Molly and Gerry leadership does create change on a number of events. Both of these films show that leaders can create change such as Gerry helping others to change and Molly trying to change back to her aboriginal’s lifestyle. Both of the films also show that leaders can help change and create others future for the better such as Gerry helping the whites and blacks to accept each other and Molly able to get back home.

I am thrilled to nominate Ms. Rodnesha Minor for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s Outstanding Student Teacher of the Year. Ms. Minor has shown to be true to the spirit of excellence offered by preservice educators prepared at NCA&T. Her tenacity and drive for excellence in teaching and learning set a high standard for other preservice teachers. I have watched Ms. Minor develop and grow over the past 10 weeks into a strong and independent educator. NCA&T should truly be proud of her accomplishments. This historical study will define the moral leadership of Abraham Lincoln’s role as president during the Civil War. Lincoln’s role as an anti-Slavery supported in the north provided the necessary moral leadership to sustain a complex war involving the continued argument about the continued existence of the institution of slavery. In this context, Lincoln had not previously been a supporter of the northern abolitionist movements before becoming president, yet throughout the Civil War, he incrementally began to realize the political and moral implications of slavery as a dire threat to American freedoms. Lincoln’s opposition to slavery during his presidency defined a major change in U.S. history, which galvanized the North to challenge the dominance of pro-slavery in the South. This commitment to ending slavery formed the foundation of Lincoln’s role as a liberator of African-American slaves as a defining factor of the war.
1. My philosophy of leadership is about collaboration and teamwork. Respecting and treating everyone the same, is key to supporting a good team atmosphere. I believe when a leader puts effort and care into assisting others, then their peers and followers will naturally want to support them. It is also important for a leader to recognize, that advocacy must never become so important that the critical elements of leadership are neglected (e.g. policy enforcement, command support, etc...).

Carol leadership style of Participative matches up well with the task characteristics of the followers on her team. Unfortunately, Art and Bob leadership skills are not matching well with the needs of their team. Art is currently being Directive but his team needs Supportive and Bob is Supportive but needs to be more Achievement Oriented.
When Julia committed on the work of the employee’s organization she should have asked if there was anything the employee noticed that could assist with other employees maintaining the organization versus how to make it better. Leading by choice empowers employees and delegating assignments and tasks. Understanding Julia has thousands of stores she has to understand that she can task store managers and assistant managers with the responsibility to train employees to her expectations. Leading for competence is the supporting and coaching of employees. Julia has a good way of exhibiting positive feedback to employees that have done what is expected
From my point of view , Leadership has more to it than I can possibly imagine. I define leadership as the art of enabling a group of people get to a specific destination. As a leader your main focus was to enable your followers lead theselves. As i think deeper i realise a person cannot choose to be a leader. I think a lot of the time people take on leadership positions without knowing.
1. Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes, or contributed to group efforts over time. I consider myself a leader, i believe this because i am the type of person that feels like if i am not the one to do it then it will not be done the right way. Whenever i would work in groups i would designate myself to be the one to do the harder assignment, because i only trusted that would take it serious, not anyone else. Also, whenever i do anything that involves a team, i like to take control, because i feel like i am the best one to work under pressure or i can choose the best solution for any situation.
