Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, or better known as Che Guevara, born to Ernesto Guevara to Celia de la Serna y Llosa and Ernesto Guevara Lynch, was known as a very popular revolutionary leader. However before all of that he had an upbringing some could dream of. Che was actually born May 14, 1928 but they changed it to June 14, 1928 because his parents weren't married when Che was conceived and they didn't want to deal with the criticism and he was born in Rosario, Argentina. During his upbringing he read anything that he could get his hands on. This is what eventually influenced his later beliefs and want to explore the world around him. In all do time Che became a guerilla leader in South America around the late 1950s. The year 1967 was the year Che was executed by the bolivian army. After Che’s death he was known as martyred hero by generations of leftist worldwide. His image remains a prevalent icon of leftist radicalism and anti-imperialism, I would say this is a big deal because he changed history for the better and fought for what he believed in. Che became part of a very big scandalist plan to overthrow Fidel Castro’s Batista Government. He served as a military advisor to Castro. The reason for that was to basically betray Fidel Castro and use his army against him. When Castro took power in 1959, Guevara became in charge of La Cabaña Fortress prison. There were around 550 people were brutally executed on Guevara’s extra-judicial orders during this time. Since his death, Guevara has become a legendary political figure. His name is often known by his rebellion, revolution, and socialism. Others, however, still remember that he could be ruthless and ordered prisoners executed without trial in Cuba.
