Brandon Stanton is the founder of Humans of New York. He went to Pakistan and uncovered many stories of bonded labor. He found that people were being forced into labor and abused. While there, he met a woman named Syeda Ghulam Fatima. She is a human rights activist that is trying to help people escape bonded labor. She is trying to help stop the abuse and has helped multiple people. Most victims of bonded labor are abused. Fatima is a woman who is trying to stop the abuse from happening. Bonded labor is not the only type of slavery, there are many types all over the world. Although there are many types of slavery, bonded labor, child slavery, and modern slavery are the three major issues the world deals with today.

Child slavery is very common all around the world. It is estimated that nearly five million children are enslaved worldwide. The main reason children work is because of poverty in their family. Children are often selected to work because they are easier to control and normally will not try to negotiate pay. They normally do not complain about working conditions. Making children work will mean they do not have the opportunity to get the proper education. Said and Yarg are two brothers that were born in Mauritania. They were enslaved as children and were not allowed to eat the same thing as the others and they had to wear the same clothes everyday. They were able to escape slavery and take their master to court. Different types of child slavery are child work, child labor, hazardous work, child trafficking, child marriage, and children in armed conflicts. Anti-Slavery International states that the worst form of child labor is hazardous work which exposes them to dangers machinery or toxins.
