My professional history includes positions such as nursing in my country as well as a staff in Hollydale Lodge, a low care nursing house in Melbourne. As a nurse in my country, I can observe the dangerous signals on the patients. When I work in Hollydale Lodge, I understand the procedure of living in a nursing home. Some duties are similar to accomplish as in a high care nursing home. In addition, after the placement of aged care, I can assist the residents successfully.
On 10-27-2015 Tuesday at approximately 1000 hours I Officer Hildebrand and Sgt. Joseph Harris were informed by Dispatch that Stormy Lintner was at the station to report vandalism to her vehicle. I arrived shortly after to speak with Stormy. I spoke with Stormy in the Department seating area about what happened. Stormy stated that sometime between 2000 hours and 0430 hours someone slashed all four tires on her Toyota Camry.

Hi Laddies, MR did well last week a few days we had tantrums and aggressions but we were able to overcome those and have a great week overall. MR was very motivated by the jellybeans I had in my bag and was very willing to work for them to earn. He did really well when running the yes and know program using jelly beans for yes and no something not preferred. I plugged in most of the data but ran out of behavioral sheet so some of that data has to be plugged in. The stars near the programs mean I ran out of the data sheets which I did not plug in.
These highly enjoyable although all too rare occasions have taught me to allow myself to become relaxed within these situations, however, continually keeping a professionalism to suit the image of the Nursing home and its owners. I was eager and enthusiastic when I first walked In into Schervier Nursing Center, the place where I would be doing volunteer work for the summer. Before that, I had never been In a care center for elderly residents, so I didn't really know what to expect. “You will be assigned to the fourth flour on the north side.” Every volunteer was assigned to a different area. As I arrived to my floor I examined the white halls that would lead me to my destination.
Nursing homes often resemble institutionalized settings representative of hospitals. For the residents’ of these nursing homes, living in these establishments feels characteristic of an institution, as opposed to a home. The culture change movement determines numerous aspects of the original nursing home model to adapt to the current period. The majority of older adults that live in the nursing homes, reside there until they pass away; therefore, the culture change movement allows for seniors to create a home for their end of life care. Creating person-centered homes improve the quality of life and decreases the amount of staff turnover (Koren, 2010).
Description: In week 7 we had visited Wesburn Manor, the Long-term Care (Clinical Placement) setting. It was our first time there, therefore as a group, we oriented the place. At this time, we went to each nursing station on each floor and introduced ourselves from the organization we were from and how we will be providing patient care to the clients in this setting. We were educated by our clinical instructor on the different access codes in the building, the policies and guidelines, our assigned floor and the appointed personal support worker. Our role of professionalism as a nursing student was represented as we came prepared and greeted each healthcare and staff member.
Chaya Junik Student ID 63369266 Examination Number: Infant and Toddler Care, 605420 Email: mussajunik@gmail.com I had the opportunity to observe a class of infants from ages 11-16 months and I found it very interesting. The teacher I observed used respectful, responsive, and reciprocal care. She and the caregivers used them while dealing with the infants. Respectful care is when an adult treats a child like an adult would like to be treated.
Over the past few months, the class has been discussing typical and atypical language development and the assessment and intervention of children with language delay or disorder. In line with this, the students were asked to observe children aged 0-12 years old with language problems for 2 hours. For this requirement, I went to a therapy center situated in Quezon City last November 16, from ten (10) A.M. to twelve (12) N.N. The center has multiple rooms that are used for speech therapy and occupational therapy. During my observation, two speech pathologists and two children with language disorder were sharing one speech therapy room.
According to developmental psychology a person at any age is at a certain stage of cognitive, moral, psychosocial, and physical development. This development is measured by different types of thinking, mental capacity for tasks, physical strength, and reasoning for following rules. Development is easily seen in children. Naturalistic observation is the one of the easiest method to see these developments in children. This is the observation technique I used, while watching a five year old male at Kindercare Daycare at 3:30 on a Friday.
On Wednesday, March 15th I went to Christ the King to observe a child in preschool. The child I observed was a female and she was four years old. While I was there I observed her physical development, social and emotional development, thinking skills, and communication skills. For physical development, I observed her gross and fine motor skills. Her gross motor skills included her gait, balance, running, and picking up toys.
