At the bar Frank met a man named Leslie Atkinson who actually ran the bar. Atkinson agreed to supply Lucas with heroin but Frank wanting to go bigger than ever went and increased his supply and during this time he worked with his cousin husband Leslie Atkinson. Luke Traveled two weeks through the jungle with Atkinson to his main business partner a Chinese – Thai man named Luelchi Rubiwat “007”. Luelchi controlled several hundred acres of poppy fields in the “Golden Triangle” caves bored into the mountains by the poppy is where they were processed into heroin.
“I ain’t much good with on’y one hand. ”(59), says Candy the swamper from the novella Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. Candy is a disabled farmworker who can’t work on anything but cleaning, and so is not included in many of the other farmworkers’ activities. Candy’s situation proves that disabled people are treated poorly and unfairly because of the belief that they contribute less to society. Candy’s dog is old and cannot herd sheep anymore, and Candy is missing his hand, so he cannot work well either.
Chinatown is nearly made up of 83% Asians. The Chinese-Americans came struggling from damaged civil rivalries, poverty, and overfarming. It was interesting to learn that those who migrated ended up in San Francisco and made it a major center of civilization. After the earthquake and fire in 1906 that destroyed all of Chinatown, it was amazing to realize that the Chinese Americans wanted to rebuild the little town district to become a tourist attraction so there would be anti-Asian racism welcoming all ethnicities. Although ethnic enclaves of Chinatown was identified of Chinese-Americans, Chinese business reached out to White American architects to help make Chinatowns district a place full of treasury.
Xiong uses battles, executions, assassinations, and scandals to appeal to readers of any genre. Once a reader gets into the book they are hooked in the epic events of the book and the deep look into the ruling class. Unfortunately, Xiong’s novel might somewhat difficult to get into for many readers with no experience in Chinese history. Xiong also attempts to utilize dialogue that often comes off as underdeveloped or simplistic.
Goodfellas versus Casino The gangster genre of films was made popular early on in American film history with the development of sound (White 35). Some of them stick out in cinema history such as Goodfellas and Casino, both directed by Martin Scorsese. The audience discovers how greed for the ultimate American dream can tear apart the things that truly matter in life. In terms of quality, there is a lot of debate of which movie is the better view.

V for Vendetta mainly deals with a group of people filled with disbelief towards their media and eventually adopt the idea of taking down the government. Anthem is about a man, Equality 7-2521 escaping his government.
A Tale of Two Cities The era was at its peak, while remaining at its worst. It was the era of intelligence, with ignorance prominent everywhere. It was the era of faithfulness, but was surrounded with skepticism.
Chinatown by David Hwang This one- act play, Trying to Find Chinatown, describes the encounter between two characters that are dissimilar in their traits; Benjamin, an ethnic Caucasian who considers himself Asian, and Ronnie, who is an ethnic Asian but actually knows very little about his Asian heritage. Benjamin was adopted by a Chinese- American family and is desperately trying to find out his father’s birth house in New York’s Chinatown. In the process he meets Ronnie, a street musician expert in playing violin,and ask for directions to the house. He assumes that Ronnie is an Asian man and would perhaps know his way around the lanes of Chinatown.

A Chinese transnational organized crime gang came into existence in the mid 1980’s. They called themselves the “Fuk Ching Gang” and they are comprised of a group of young Chinese men from China’s Fujian Province. They are based in the Chinatown section of New York. The types of crime they pride themselves son is extortion, protection rackets, and he victims of their crimes are usually businesses. Fuk Ching likes to smuggle young woman from China into the Unites States where they are used as pawns in a prostitution operations.

Summary Upon arriving to Chinatown in San Francisco, Jack Burton, a truck driver, makes a bet with his friend, Wang Chin and Chin loses the bet. Wang attempted to avoid paying up a little over $1,000 and states he needs to pick up Miao Yin, his girlfriend with green eyes. They arrive at the airport and the gang, “Lord of Death”, were present. Their motive was to kidnap a different Asian girl who was getting picked up by a lawyer, Gracie Law.
The first Grand Theft Auto was released in 1997, but violence existed in video games long before the development of Grand Theft Auto video game. Since 2011, video games have achieved mainstream status in the United States, and in-game violence is more realistic and ubiquitous than ever. Grand Theft Auto brought to light the Controversy around violent video games and their psychological effects on the players in reality. There are two opposing viewpoints in this controversy. Social Groups, started opposing to Grand Theft Auto when GTA III was released.
Oppression has always been prevalent throughout history, and as a response to this, the exploited often revolt, in turn, causing inciteful change. However, when the revolution only seeks revenge, it fosters more violence and creates a more oppressed society. The French Revolution while successful in the sense that it overthrew the government, has one dangerous aspect in common with oppression: violence. This revolution is depicted in A Tale of Two Cities by Dickens, where the persecuted peasants of France start a rebellion to try and achieve revenge government. However, by using violence as the primary method to abolish the government and boasting about the dominance of the revolution through the Carmagnole, the revolutionaries discredit themselves.
