A worldview is a pattern of ideas but also a pattern of beliefs, convictions, and habits that make sense of God, the world, our relationship with God, and our relationship with the world. Christianity stands out the most out of all the worldviews. There are many worldviews but there are six main ones we mostly talk about. There is Christianity, New Spirituality, Postmodernism, Secularism, Marxism, and Islam. Some are monotheistic, some are polytheistic, and some do not believe there is a God at all. They are all very diverse but some are very similar. Christianity can be compared and contrasted to all of the other five world views.

The father of marxism is Karl Marx. Marxism over time leads to Communism. Majority of the world’s population today lives with the consequences of his philosophy. Places like North Korea and China are communist because of parts of his philosophy. Karl Marx believes that all injustices should come to an end. Christians believe injustices will come to an end as well. Just like God told the Christians to share and help your neighbors, Karl Marx believes this also. He believed all things should be shared. But the Bible also tells us that men shall work for food. Marxism is also called the struggle between the haves and the have nots. The haves were the owners and businessmen and the have-nots are the poor and working. Marx’s philosophy was that the working should take over their masters business. This contradicts with the word of God. The Bible didn’t say what the masters were doing was okay, but in 1 Timothy 6:1, “All who are under the yoke of slavery should regard their masters fully worthy of honor, so that God’s name and our teaching will not be discredited.” You don’t have to take this literally, but the scripture means honor anyone in authority and that shows Christ in us. Christians have to go to church to learn more about God and receive revelations on messages from God. People involved in New Spirituality don’t have to go to church. New Spirituality is a combination of easternism, paganism, and pseudoscience. They believe everyone has their own god within them. They are always in touch with their conscience.
