The author born in Flint,Michigan, the author of the book Bud,Not Buddy, and the author who has won over 12 different awards for his books...Christopher Paul Curtis. Christopher Paul Curtis is a historical fiction writer who has written many wonderful books that were huge hits everywhere. People were fans of Christopher's books no matter the age. Everyone fell in love with how he could make us laugh and cry all in one book.His life up until he was a writer was not the greatest but little did he know when he became a writer that his career had just begun.
Christopher came into the world on May 10,1953. He grew up in Flint,Michigan,along with his four siblings and his parents,Herman and Leslie (Judy Levin 11). Christophers family was very talented …show more content…

He later grew out of that and ended high school (Judy Levin 22) . Christopher went to college at Michigan University for political science (23). Turns out Christopher ended up not being a fan of college (23). He would skip and fail in classes until he decided to drop many classes and and work in the car factory his father worked for (23). Curtis began to hate this job as well. It was at this time in his life that he met his wife, Habon in 1977 (26). Habon was a wonderful lady who was a nurse and was the person who actually discovered that Curtis was such a good writer through the letters they used to send to each other. At his job a friend of his and him would take turns doing double the work for thirty minutes out of the hour (27). So every other thirty minutes one of them would get a break while the other one worked. In his free time he began to write stories about how much he hated his job (28). He wasn’t proud of his writing then but he did enjoy writing because it gave his mind a break from everything that went on in his life (29). In 1985 Christopher finally quit his job to allow his family to move to Canada for his wife's nursing career (29). In Canada he ended up doing various jobs here and there but it was nothing he ever
