Chuck Norris is easily one of the most awesome people in the history of acting and stunt performance. Chuck Norris made an impact on history. He is someone to look up to. Chuck Norris has won several awards and accomplishments, academically and in performance. He also served in the Navy, defending his country. Some people may think celebrities don’t have lives of their own, but this is untrue! Norris has a family and hobbies of his own. Chuck Norris was born on March 10, 1940. He described his childhood as “shy, nonathletic, and scholarly mediocre.” He was the oldest sibling out of his other two brothers. His father, Ray, worked as an automobile mechanic. Chuck is an inspiring figure in serving his country. In 1958 he was sent to Osan Air Base in South Korea. In South Korea, he began his first martial arts training. He became very interested in martial arts, so he was determined to get a black belt. Later when he returned to the United States he was sent to California to serve as an Air Policeman. Norris decided to use his martial arts skills and start competing in tournaments. HE lost his very first two tournaments, but that did not stop him. He won the 1967 Karate tournament. Chuck Norris managed to defeat 7 opponents! On June 24, Chuck won another tournament and was declared champion at the S. Henry Cho’s All-American Karate Championship. “taking the title from Julio LaSalle and defeating Joe Lewis”. He is an American martial artist and mastered the arts of Tang Soo Do, Brazilian Jiu Jitzo, and Judo. Norris is an inspiration to those who want to be in an acting career. Chuck Norris uses his black belt skills in sets and acts. Chuck’s first film, The Way of the Dragon, was made in 1972. The movie is produced and directed by Bruce Lee. The Way of the Dragon is a comedy action film about a martial artist protecting his family and Chinese restaurant from gangs. Chuck Norris took the role of a character named Colt. The fighting scene between Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris is the part that sold the movie. There are so many references to that scene today.
