Pre-Reading Notes Major Characters Nathan Price - Father of four daughters, One of the major masculine roles in the book, Nathan is married to Orleana. He moves his family to the Congo due to his work because he is a baptist minister. He was a veteran of World War II. He is the antagonist of the book, due to his actions that he exhibits throughout the book. He creates a type of tension within the book between the other characters, he is not very friendly with the people from the Congo.
Some of the main characters in the book are Katniss Everdeen, and Peeta Mellark. Katniss Everdeen was the one of the winners and the main character of all the books, she’s known as “the girl on fire”(Collins). And peeta mellark is Katniss's best friend in the games and somewhat boyfriend. Summary Pages 1-39 Birgit Neilsen is a privileged girl from Grandview High. She finds herself in trouble when three girls in her art class choose to torment her and assault her. She vows revenge on the three girls and recruits 3 other students, Mickey who is a foster kid from Creekside who goes to Grandview, Peter who is in the eleventh grade, on the football team and also Birgit’s boyfriend, and Whisper, whose real name is Winston who is also on the football team. The four students agree that Grandview High has become too dangerous for the students and devise a plan to wipe the school of bullies forever.
The characters Mayella Ewell, Jeremy Finch, and Arthur Radley show that this theme is present in many different ways. Mayella Ewell is disregarded for being an Ewell, Jeremy Finch handles situations differently than others would. There are three major characters, kid reporters Susan Carol Anderson and Stevie Thomas and Washington Nationals pitcher, Norbert Doyle. There are recurring characters that are not as important in the story such as reporters Bobby Kelleher and Tamara Mearns, agent David Felkoff, officers Joe Morra and Jim Hatley, and Norbert Doyle’s kids David and Morra Doyle. Stevie is fourteen years old, a kid reporter for the Washington Herald, and the boyfriend of Susan Carol Anderson. No descriptive physical description is given for Stevie and really anyone in the book. The novel states that Stevie is short and not very attractive.
Bobo is a dynamic character, he recognizes that he bullied Amat only because he was older and felt Amat was lower than him because he was poor even though Bobo is lower middle class as well. Bobo goes onto to befriend Amat and protect his friends from the others. Bobo sees how terrible some of the people are the team are and that they hurt people because they don’t see them as equals. William Lyt is a leader on the hockey team who takes over when Kevin is arrested. His parents moved in next to Kevin’s family so that their kids would be best friends and Williams mother is a big part of the fight against Maya and claims she was lying.
Have you ever thought how important is to never give up? The author Phyllis Naylor thought by his novel teach people to never give up on what you want, no matter how hard it may seem. Marty, who is the main character in this novel, did this by continuously working to get Shiloh. It is not easy to separate right from wrong and sometime you can do is try to save the one you love. Marty is the boy who is heroic enough to save Shiloh.
Ender the main character it's supposed to be the hero of the story who takes out the buggers and prevents all future Wars which he does take out the buggers but since then he feels bad for taking out an entire species and find us a bugger Queen and makes a promise to find a new planet for the buggers to inhabit and then there is Valentine Ender's sister when Ender left for battle school she was heartbroken but why lender was in battle School she started doing her own thing on the internet with her other brother And was talking to people on websites about the war that could happen on
Lastly, Tiny Soderball was a hired immigrant just alike Lena. Tiny was always getting in trouble with the men so all of the other citizens looked at her differently. Tiny did not settle with that and she then decided to travel to Alaska and take part in the Gold Rush. Tiny opened up her own hotel and grew a fortune.
