Yes, I would recommend the book, “Ghetto Cowboy” by G. Neri to a friend. I would recommend it to a friend because of it’s unique and emotional subject matter, which was inspired by a true event! What compels the story to be so impassioned is how Cole, the twelve-year old protagonist, is behaving and how harshly it’s effecting himself, school life, and his mother, who’s a single parent. At last, she’s had enough being torn up and conflicted because of his actions, then realized, if she lets him continue like this, he’ll end like the boys who drop out of school, get no job, and end up in prison, stated by the principal, causing her to blame herself for not being good enough of a parent. And so, immediately after his latest antic at school,
My opinion is that Touching Spirit Bear is a dramatic and breathtaking book where people learn to heal, forgive, and trust. Cole, the main character, is trying to live life to the fullest and find himself. He makes poor decisions... He is the bully... Will he ever learn from his mistakes?
In the book Touching Spirit Bear, a native boy named Chase Matthews, is constantly getting into trouble. Chase gets sent to a live on an island by himself, as punishment for a year where he couldn't hurt anybody but runs into an unlikely friend. Chase makes many mistakes but learns from them when he's on the island. This book has taught me a lot of stuff that comes into my life every day Chase burns down the small hut and all of the food that was left for him, tries to kill the spirit bear and when he talks to the spirit Bear. When Chase is dropped off by the elders on this remote island, he tries to act as though nothing can hurt him.
Touching Spirit Bear By Cameron Gillis Touching Spirit Bear is an intriguing and breathtaking novel by US author, Ben Mikaelsen . The genre of this book is adventure and coming of age because we, as the reader, understand the difficult journey the protagonist, Cole, goes through as he matures and changes. The book is carefully written from the first and third person point of view to help see and understand the events from different perspectives. The other main characters are Edwin, Garvey, Cole’s parents, and the Spirit Bear. The main themes of the book are the power of nature, anger, forgiveness, and healing.
However the only problem I really have with the book is the slow pace and repetitiveness that often takes
Coles Journey with Healing and Forgiveness Stephen Richards said, “When you forgive, you heal”?Cole is the protagonist in the book “Touching Spirit Bear” Garvey was Cole’s parole officer who helps Cole. Cole's Dad beat him so Cole beats up Peter at the beginning of the book, but he ended up helping him at the end. Cole's Dad, Garvey, and Peter affect Cole’s healing in negative or positive ways. Garvey helped with Cole's healing and forgiveness by sending him to the island.
Although I did get confused while reading the book a few times, I think most individuals would enjoy it. I read this book all in one day, as it was a type of book that is super hard to stop reading after you start it. I wouldn’t recommend starting this book, if the reader doesn’t have time to read a majority of the book in one sitting. I believe a busy person would get too confused and lost in the book, since they wouldn’t have time to sit down and read the whole book. I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone under the age of fourteen, as it can be very sad at times.
I skipped a few pages and then read the first line "DEAR GOD". I was now hooked! It was like picking up a diary that I wasn't allowed to read. The words on the page resonated with me.
It also gives the reader a sense of frustration because of his
Though sometimes very different from one another, these techniques come together and contribute to why the novel is such an interesting read.

The book Ghost of Spirit Bear is a sequel to the book Touching Spirit Bear. I enjoyed this book because it has a good story and plot. While this book is not as adventurous or moving as the first book Ghost of Spirit Bear still has a good plot and creates vivid pictures in your mind while reading. I prefered Touching Spirit Bear over this book because it has more adventure and a more shocking story. The book consists mainly of the same characters but more were added when Peter and Cole go to school.
