Civil disobedience is defined as obeying a law that is believed to be morally wrong. As a case in point, the women’s suffrage. I believe the woman who chained herself to a fence outside the White House because she could not vote for the President was not immorally wrong. Does this mean that it is actually okay to intentionally disobey and go against the law? We need to become aware that sometimes the laws are made both right and unjust. Which means that it is up to us as citizens to stand up for what we believe in and what is truly just. This does not mean we go around and break every law, but means that if it is a nonviolent action, good intention, and an aspiration for the need of change, sometimes we need to stand up for ourselves for
