This paper will explore Title VII the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This law was created to ensure that employees are able to perform their task in a safe work environment. The law covers many aspects employment practices and the mechanisms established to enforce certain behaviors. This particular piece of legislation covers a long list of illegal behaviors.

Sexual harassment in the workplace is popular topic of conversation. It is trending on social media under the hash tag metoo. Harvey Weinstein, a famed media producer, director and activist was once called the most powerful men in Hollywood (Abrahams). In October of 2017 Mr. Weinstein faced allegations of decades of sexual harassment and abuse of his employees. The Weinstein revelation began a outpouring of sexual abuse allegations against a number of powerful and famous men. The Weinstein stories and his fall from grace has empowered women from all socio-economic stratas to realize that there is a price to be paid for sexually harassing and abusive behavior.
