A liberal is someone who believes in the need for government. They think that government can be used as a tool to solve social and economic problems and it should be used to regulate the economy. Liberals feel that government is an integral part of having the economy evolve in a progressive way. Classical Liberalism is more in line with conservative, and pro capitalist belief.
