Introduction
Classroom is an essential key for learning and teaching processes. It serves as a learning ground for students who will be future professionals. Students spend about 7-9 hours in school. Thus a comfortable learning environment is necessary which includes classroom ventilation. A study conducted in University of Tulsa in Oklahoma City, shows that as classroom ventilation improves, the academic achievement of the student improves as well. An open classroom with poor ventilation has contaminants including particles, molds, viruses, and odors, from products which may result in more sick days and higher absenteeism of students. Less pollution allows students to focus and be more attentive when learning. Also, heat and extreme cold adversely affect students’ performance. Social atmosphere of a classroom is an important factor that contributes to the students’ outcome. A classroom requires a serene atmosphere so it should be free from any disturbances including traffic noise. Noise in the classroom may affect students’ hearing, communication and intelligence.

As extreme heat has a clear negative impact on the intellect and on physical activity of students, the use of air-conditioning could help rectify this and improve their academic performance. An air-conditioned classroom also provides an enclosed environment that can help students increase their concentration and focus in their studies since there won 't be any unnecessary noises that might lead to the student 's distraction.
