Clay Collins is the CEO and Co-Founder of Leadpages. He is 38 years old and founded the company with another partner officially four years ago. However, about seven years before that, the early workings of the company began with a YouTube series called the Marketing Show. Clay’s job involves working with all the different functions of the company to insure three things. That the company has money in the bank, that the vision for the direction of the company is made clear, and that the company is hiring excellent people. He ensures this all happens by working very closely with his c-level officers to accomplish organizational goals. A landing page serves as an intermediary tool to convert potential uninterested customers into very interested leads. Therefor, landing pages are considered a lead generation tool. A general rule of thumb in marketing is that only 3 percent of your market is ready to buy your product right now, while the other 97 percent is either uninterested or on the fence about it. Landing pages are used to draw in that 97 percent and to persuade potential customers that there truly is a need for your product. This is done through free reports, case studies, videos, online courses, blogs, etc., and it’s all made available on your landing page. After a lead has been generated on a landing page, it is then time where you should feel comfortable sending them to your website in hopes that they purchase your product or service. The use of landing pages are growing by the day, and in a few years they should become a standard marketing practice that is taught in business schools across the country.
