The novel “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare is a play that tells a tale of a tragic love that continuously utilizes those events for the creation of the film “The Titanic”. “Romeo and Juliet” is a play that tells the story of two people that could not live their love due to their parents, so it ends on a tragedy. Romeo and Juliet could not be together because they have an existing dispute among the Montagues and Capulets. “The Titanic” is a movie that narrates the love story of Jack and Rose on a ship. On the course of the movie, their love was completely forbidden by Rose’s family because they were from different classes.
This poses a great danger for Romeo, because if the other members of the Capulet family find him, Romeo could potentially be killed. As well, this feud extends to Juliet’s cousin, Tybalt, and Romeo’s close friend who fights on the side of the Montagues, Mercutio, which directly impacts the relationship between Romeo and Juliet later in the play. Romeo stabs Tybalt after finding out about Mercutio’s death, resulting in Romeo’s banishment, to which he says after receiving the news from Friar Lawrence, “Ha, banishment? be merciful, say ‘death’: / For exile hath more terror in his look, / Much more than death.
/ Away to heaven, respective lenity, / And fire-eyes fury be my conduct now!”(3.1.124-126), “Either thou or I, or both, must go with him”(3.1.128) Mercutio’s death fills Romeo with a thirst for revenge. Romeo kills Tybalt in retaliation which gets him banished from Verona. Romeo’s banishment, a result of Mercutio’s death, pushes the story further towards the tragic end.

Romeo being banished from Verona may seem like a hurdle in the undeniable end of the lovers story, when in reality it seems to be the starting catalyst of the end of their path. When Mercutio is killed by Tybalt the emotion of revenge is brought out within him, going against everything he wanted to do. Romeo tried to avoid fighting for Juliet, but did the one thing that helped separate the two indefinitely. Towards the end of the play things seem to fall into place with one bad thing happening after the other. When Romeo never receives the letter from Friar Lawrence it's almost inevitable and expected by the audience.

In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Romeo's character is explored throughout the novel. In the beginning of the novel, Romeo’s character is depicted as depressed and withdrawn. As the novel progresses, Romeo’s Character slowly changes into happy and in love. Ultimately, as the novel nears its end, Romeo has a new hatred for his life because he can’t have the things he wants most and becomes severely unhappy and pessimistic. In the the beginning of the novel, Romeo is seen as sad and lonely.

Juliet does not like this because she believes that Romeo is the one for her. But Juliet and Paris have never really interacted that much. I think that Paris would have been better for Juliet rather than Romeo.
Romeo and Juliet, the tragic love that only led to sorrow and death, but what events caused this bitter ending? In the play Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare two lovers find each other in forbidden love from their feuding families. This love leads to a secret marriage that causes them to want to run away together. When Romeo kills Tybalt he is banished from Verona and their plan is foiled except this leads to a new plan for Juliet to be with Romeo. Yet when an important letter is never delivered to Romeo it leads hims to think that Juliet is dead when she is not.
Every Aristotelian tragic hero has a tragic flaw, Romeo’s being impulsiveness. Throughout the play, he has been known to rush into things too quickly. The first example was getting married to Juliet only a day after they met each other, without the slightest thought that maybe he would get tired of her and change love interests as easily as the one that brought him to Juliet from Rosaline. And later, when he fought with Tybalt, he was blinded by the anger of Mercutio's death to realize that fighting would result in his own death, or as he later found out, banishment. The fight was what set in motion Juliet’s mourning for Romeo, Capulet’s rushed marriage plans, the faking of Juliet’s death, and the very real death of the star-crossed lovers.
Although the teenagers portrayed in William Shakespear’s story Romeo and Juliet and typical teenagers of today have their differences, I believe they have more similarities. Along with having more similarities, the similarities they share are stronger than the ways they are different. The similarities are more important topics than the small differences the two have. The main reason for all of the differences is because the characters Romeo and Juliet and teenagers today are living in different time periods. This is the cause of all differences like technology, communication, and language.
