Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $4.2 billion—most of it $1 at a time—for 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, (2015 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals). These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible. They increase funds and awareness for local children’s hospitals to save lives. Brand consistency is one of the main lacking of CMN Hospitals, (Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. 2015). Their brand recognition is one of the weakness that affect the network nationwide. CMN Hospitals works with national and international corporate sponsors. Hospitals has teamed up with each hospital to increase their brand awareness in local regions, (2015 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals). I think the brand needs to be explained a little more as well as marketed more to the public. Most people don’t even know who CMN is unless they see a balloon and are asked at the registers and other checkouts of other facilities. Celebrity name list is one to me although they have a great list of celebrities already. I feel it may need to be revamped and more added since the make a wish foundation and others are surpassing them in this. The celebrities are not as closely connected to CMN Hospitals in the eyes of the public as celebrities for other children’s charities such as St. Jude are. ”St. Jude has leveraging celebrity endorsements which has made St. Jude one of the most widely-known children’s charities.” I think revamping this could help the contributions to the CMN network as well as help them gain a lot more new contributors. Company name is kind of confusing I think this is somewhat true and somewhat not. I do think a better name should be developed that would be more catchy and make people want to donate.
