A group of neighbors has become irritated with the three children of the Marvin and Ella Tagget. The neighbors suspect the children have ties to gangs and are frustrated by the vandalism the children have supposedly been committing within the neighborhood. The neighbors have asked the justice system to intervene and for a judge to deem it necessary to take the children away from their parents or force the family to move out of the neighborhood. The judge then gave the case to the Department of Family and Protective Services. (ACU Admin, 2015).

Counseling is also recommended for all three of the children. The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Gang Reduction program, intervening and reducing gang activity in specific neighborhoods, should also be notified of the possible gang activity within the neighborhood (NCJRS, n.d.).
Rationale: While this does not follow a specific justice theory, the well-being of the children is just as important as the supposed crimes. The case worker is meant to either end or prevent the children’s gang association and the counselor is intended to discover the root of the issue causing the children to vandalize.
