Cognitive development
Cognition is a central and thus crucial part of human development. Cognitive development is an inclusive and broad abstract idea that refers to a child’s mental activity which entails processing, remembering, organizing, acquisition and the ability to use available knowledge known, but rather by the manner in which information is received, interpreted, organized and altered. Our main concern is two key questions regarding cognition. Firstly, which alterations in cognitive functioning occur in children with their maturity? Secondly, what are the factors are responsible for these changes.

Physical activity is paramount for our inclusive development and growth (Trawick-smith,2004). Physical development is described as the process that begins in human infancy and progresses into adolescent concentering on gross and fine motor skills as well as puberty. On psychosocial crisis(ED Psych p 18) Erickson postulates that a series of stages are the ones that develop personality. The social pressure or influence by peers, cultures, teachers’ environment contribute towards the composition of personality development through the whole life span. There is an element that Erickson focuses on psychosocial stage development, which is ego identity. According to him ego identity “is the conscious sense that we develop through social interaction”.
