The research topic I chose was on the requirements to get into a college known as South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, or SDSMT for short. There are a lot of different requirements that a person would need to achieve in order to attend SDSMT. It is also a college where the yearly cost without scholarships is about “$23,440.” (Tuition and Fees) It is very good to know these kinds of things for the future so a person is not perplexed on what they need to do in high school. They have a system where if you achieve certain scores, then you can either be admitted instantly or they will think about you. The requirements to be admitted instantly is this, “Obtain an ATC score of twenty-five and obtain an ATC math subscore of twenty-five. (or SAT composite of 1130 and SAT math subscore of 580) and minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.75. Or are a South Dakota Regents’ Scholars.” (Admissions Requirements.) This information is coming straight from the website for the college, so I can know that these numbers are legit. The one thing is that all of these numbers are subject to change, so in a few years these requirements may change.
