1. What criteria did you take into consideration to make your choice?
I checked to see if the student meet the minimum eligibility index for incoming freshman. Local and transfer applicants will be given priority during admission. I also looked to see if the student challenge themselves by taking rigorous course and participating in extracurricular activities (community, work, volunteering).

2. Do you think you had all the information you needed for each student to make the best choice? Why or why not?
I am able to reflect on the information provided such as gender, ethnicity, and the number of students admitted/enrolled, GPA, and admission consideration throughout the years to now. I think there is substantial information on CSUS website and data report to assess each student.

3. Which student did you select? Why?
I selected Student 10 because he is a transfer student from Sacramento City College. Student 10 is transferring with a high GPA. Student 10 challenges himself having taken 7 AP courses in high school and he also did well in his SAT. I considered him since he’s in …show more content…

Our test scores and grades may shed some light of whether students could keep up with the course work, but there is too many conditions for their grades reflection. One can only analyze what is given on an application, and the application does not speak of the little things or experiences of which an applicant has had. It tell you that this person received this grade in this specific course or achieved this GPA throughout their high school/college career. It doesn’t necessarily express their background, life struggle, and experiences in life. At large, an application doesn’t speak from the applicant as a whole, but just solely based from their academics.
