Everyone has talents that are unique in a special way. Everyone needs talents so they can contribute to their community. Everyone should share their talents with their community that desperately needs them in order to be successful. I share with my community the talent God gave me, teaching children, by serving my community the Back of the Yards. There are many examples of talents or as some people call them gifts, that each person is born with just like singing, playing an instrument, understanding and caring for children, public speaking skills, making people feel better, being a leader and the list is infinite. My goals were simple, but not so easy to accomplish as they included: to continue to grow more in my faith, share my love for kids, meet other catechists and to feel comfortable talking to people who I did not know well. I believed the students would experience a hard time trying to learn the prayers but I was wrong. It was a big surprise for me when I gave them a quiz and mostly everyone had the Hail Mary right. A personal success I had was how much I grew closer to God in these seven months. I thought I had already learned as much as possible about God and Jesus but I was wrong. The amazing thing was that my teachers were my own students. They taught me why Jesus said the kingdom belongs to the children and what the meaning of the Our Father really means. I learned much more with them than I could have ever learned alone. Another one of my success was how many catechist of my age I was able to meet. They believe in God and obey him by attending church every Sunday and doing the things he likes. They became my friends and we have so much in common. With success also comes failures, and my failures were the following: not making the class as fun as possible and not having enough time to share stories of the bible with the children. Children like to do fun activities and that helps them
