Justice In Plato’s The Republic, one argument that prevails, and that argument is “what is justice”? In this paper I will analyze the argument between Socrates and Thrasmachus in Book I Section III on the topic of justice. As Polemarchus concedes the argument to Socrates, Thrasymachus begins to criticize Socrates questions, and asks Socrates to answer them. This leads into Thrasymachus’s selfish definition of justice.

Time has flown by and sooner than expected it is time to decide what career I want to pursue. I wasn’t sure until a few weeks ago, constantly feeling pressured by those around hoping I was confident about what I wanted to be when I grew up. I’ve changed my mind a million times, thoughts of money, happiness, and success were key factors into my decision, and I only had one college in mind. As I researched around I began to understand what qualifications I needed for not just the degree, but for the colleges as well. Many of my friends are still clueless about what they want to do, but I realize that no one is quite certain, even myself.
There are two engineering careers that interest me, biomedical or civil engineering. I know they may seem completely different, but due to the fact I take some classes in the engineering field, and some in the medical field, I still have not decided which way to go. A biomedical engineer creates equipment, devices, computer systems, and software used in healthcare, while a civil engineer designs, builds and supervises construction projects such as bridges, buildings, airports, and many more. A biomedical engineer focuses a lot on bringing knowledge to create, design and evaluate biomedical equipment.

This time to study Computer Engineering Technology. This was a major point in my life.
Everyone I ever looked up to, my dad, uncle, and my older cousins, worked in the oil industry. My entire childhood I grew up listening to phone calls from my dad or conversations between my family about their work and part of me always knew I would end up in the same field. Throughout my high school career, I had my doubts about what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. A dream of mine has always been to own and operate a farm and every time I would think about what I wanted to do, I would always have that dream in the back of my mind, so I never really made a decision. My senior year of high school I was talking to my dad about what I wanted to do.
I love to think about how things are made, and developed over a short period of time. I constantly Imagine what the insides of objects look like, and I love to experience the hardship process of taking an object apart to find out the secrets and mysteries that lie within. He used to bring me along with him in his nearest four wheel drive park where he taught me many things about four wheel vehicles.
Very similar to real life engineering, we are tasked with designing and constructing various projects based on a set of requirements or problems. I have always been incredibly successful in this class achieving high marks, and in grade 11 receiving the award for the highest mark for my grade. Although not a prerequisite for any engineering programs, I believe that it greatly benefits all potential engineering students. It puts our teachings into practice to solve real life situations, giving us a preview into the future as engineers. Scheduling conflicts prevented me from taking this great course in grade 12.
