If you feel like there's something out there that you're supposed to be doing, if you have a passion for it, then stop wishing and just do it. Wanda Skyes was the one who said that. I have no idea who she is and I'm sure you don't either, but she makes a good point. In life, I believe that you have to do what you love doing, and that will make you happiness. If you're a tennis player, you probably won't find playing baseball very fun, when you could be playing tennis. Did you find it when you did what no one else has done, in making it to the second day of states? Maybe you broke a school record, or realized it when you can't put down your instrument, bat, ball, glove, or the first time you hit the field. For me, I truly love basketball. I remember the day I realized this is what I love to do, it was 6th grade, and we were at a tournament in Chelsea. We were playing Marshall in the Championship, a team we never beat. We were down by one and I hit the buzzer beater to win. I remember the feeling of the love I found for basketball right there. I can still picture how excited everyone was, and I can see Mr. Kim jumping around, until he realized he better get these 12 year olds under control. In the big picture, we only won a championship, but down deep it meant so much more. After that, I realized I can really work at this and have a lot of fun doing what I love. I was lucky enough to be super close with the Ingles, and Mr Ingles who coached at western, and my brother who was the JV coach. Everyday I would go to the varsity and Jv practices and just shoot on the side. That got me a lot better and grew my love more. The hours you put in make you truly love what you do more.
