If I could describe my value in just one sentence, it would be this: I am committed to excellence in all work I perform and in all relationships I build. Many of my experiences have made me well-suited for the position you are offering. My work in education and in management lead me to develop strong technical and organizational skills and, more importantly, the ability to learn new methods quickly. My love of learning is what makes me feel such a strong urge to work in an educational setting. Combine this with my fascination with books and my passion for working with high school students and one can clearly see the fuel that fires my desire to work for a school library. Libraries are evolving entities and I am impressed with how well yours has “kept up with the times”, so to speak. They are not simply places that house books. They are centers for student learning, critical to enhancing the educational experience. Having worked in a library for many years, I have a good feel for its role in the learning community. Having been a teacher, I have a good grasp of how to manage the students who will work there. These work experiences have made me quite capable of creating positive, productive educational environments. Developing strong interpersonal skills has been one key to this process.
