I've never been the athletic kid in the class. As a child, I never had the body fit to look like I can play any sport. I first started sports in 6th grade. I was a short really chubby kid, so the only sport that was meant for me was football. I was thrown out to stand in as a linemen. Usually in football the bigger, heavier kids, go in the front to form a line to keep the other team from getting our quarterback. At the time I was one of the biggest kids on my team. I never moved to another position because i was too big to run the ball. Over time i lost weight and my body started to stretch, and I decided to start baseball freshman year. I'm not at the point I wish to be to be at, but i'm definitely happy when I look back on old pictures. I really only started sports for a better lifestyle. Now i've found a deep passion for playing and I use it as a motivation for school. Football was my way of getting fit. I wasn't really enjoying the sport in 6th grade only because I was a really a lazy inactive kid. I transitioned into middle school and started to enjoy it more because the rule of running the ball under a certain weight limit went away. In middle school ball, they let me run the ball and had more chances to hit people which I enjoyed. But even though I finally started to enjoy football, baseball found a special part in my heart. I'm currently in highschool and have given up my football days. I prefer baseball more than anything now. I played football in hopes of a better lifestyle and now i play baseball because i can finally fit in a little bit more with the athletes. Football lead me to baseball and I can say, I hundred percent more enjoy baseball, but don't regret a day of playing football. The start of football is the great place for a big kid like me.
