I believe that the positives of being involved in middle school sports, by far, outweigh the negatives. Being involved in middle school sports help these children grow to be adults physically, emotionally, and socially. According to the CDC many children in the United States are obese and overweight. Middle school sports encourage children to stay physically active and fit.
Playing sports in school or other places can benefit us in many different ways. For example, it helps us concentrate in our work. After reading 5 different articles in different points of view, I have learned that sports are beneficial in many ways that we should keep
Some people against that playing sports in school is harmful for students. However, to me, playing high school sports is beneficial for students because it teaches perseverance, prevents overweight's, and build confidence characters. The first advantage of playing high school is teaches students perseverance. In many sports, the winners are not always about the strongest or fastest.
First, according to the article, “Are High School Sports Good For Kids?” by Daniel Gould, a study has shown that Michigan students who participate in sports are shown to have increased educational goals and aspirations. This fact is important because it shows that extracurricular sports are doing what they are supposed to do; benefit the education of students, not detract from it.
Imagine this; kids being competitive, cheering for the school, and more of a bond, I think middle school sports should be allowed in Adams 12. Through the years I played sports sometimes I had a good experience, but other times I didn’t. I really enjoy your schools and all of the Adams 12 schools are running very smoothly and I don't feel unsafe. I would like if you bring back school sports. The reason for that is so kids can be more competitive, so more kids would be more active.
High school sports are not beneficial to students and just add more pressure. Many students participate in high school sports throughout their time in high school. Most of the sports can get very serious and a lot of pressure can be put on students to win games or get scholarships. Parents, coaches, and teammates can add to this pressure and can take away study time for student athletes. High school sports are not beneficial because they add too much pressure on students.
But, according to , kids are now being thought new and enhanced techniques of playing the sport. The chances of injuries and concussions are rapidly decreasing. Therefore, kids should be allowed to play the sport. Moreover, it has been proven through many studies that active kids do better in school.
All throughout the United States 55.5% of high school students participate in school sports. In order for these students to participate in these sports they first must reach the required grade point average. The grade point average required to play in sports is commonly known to be a 2.5 gpa. As well the students must complete a physical done by their doctor or school nurse. Summer break and the first semester of the school year is spent practicing for an endless amount of hours for upcoming events.
School activities that I am involved in is cross country, and that sport teaches to keep going when it gets hard, also I am baseball, and that’s quiet alright sport, and I’m also in basketball. Those are the main school activities that I am involved in. All those sports are pretty hard in their own way, but cross country you want to quit, and you really can’t just quit. Baseball is also a mental game, you can strike a ton, and still be doing good, but it doesn’t seem like it. Something like striking out in a baseball game, gets frustrating, but you have to forget the last one, and go on to the next one.

Playing sports can also make your overall health better, and if your health is better it’s likely that your emotions will feel better too, you will not be easily annoyed at someone. Students who play sports are more likely to get a scholarship to college with a sports team than a college with no sports team. It is very expensive to get into a great sports college, so if students get a scholarship their parents will not have to pay the original amount for the college. Playing a sport can also increase social skills and also make new friends, students would meet new people if they were on a travel basketball team they would meet all types of people around the area they live in
It is too scary for children to play and continue football or other competitive sports. Kids play sport so they can interact with other kids and have a chance to present their skills in front of others. They enjoy playing with friends out instead
