Final Essay

The next five years are full of surprises, they symbolize the end of an undergraduate education and the beginning of a medical one. Everything will depend on me, no one will be there to make sure I've gone to school or that I have finished my homework. I am now in charge of the path that I want to take. And the path that I have decided to take is the path of medicine. I have decided to become a biology major, following a pre-med track with a potential double major in political science. This way you’re constantly pushing yourself to complete whatever it is that you have to do. Personally I've always struggled to write essays, I can always verbalize what I want to say, but I struggle to get things down on paper. Because of this I would often time put off my writing assignments , which led me to become stressed. Instead of doing that, I know give myself small incentives , such as watching half of a television show after every third page I’ve written.Through this experience I have realized that by giving myself an incentive after every third page I've written I would be more likely to get the assignment done. In fact I would actually become more excited to finish because I've not only challenged myself , but I have also gotten something out of it . It's as if I were to be playing a game. It is for this reason that I hope to develop this habit within the next couple of years. This way if I ever find myself struggling to finish a task or an assignment, I'll have a light at the end of the tunnel to get me through it
