There are two types of people in the world some people are high-pots and some are low-pots and without a doubt I know that I am a high-pot. Coming from a background of people supporting me through everything in my life, and giving me praise when it was earned helped build up my self-esteem. If it was not for the people who planted a small seed in my life I would not be the strong, humble, independent person that I am today. Many teens my age still ask their self questions such as “who I am?” and “What is my purpose in life?” But thanks to the people that have built me up I know who I am. I have realized my powers.

When I was younger I went to a school called Jesus is Lord, where there was only ten people in my class, all the way to my second grade year. My parents realized that I was not learning everything I needed to learn at that point in time. While all peers were learning how to add and multiply I was still struggling on subtraction. By the class being so small the teacher felt it was necessary to move on slowly academically leaving me behind. Therefore, my parents decided to move me in the middle of the year the Cheraw Primary School were Miss Walter was my teacher. Miss Walter saw how far behind I was and slowly and quietly took me under her wing to catch me up with the other students. Together we long and hard all year after school just so I would not be behind going into the third grade. When I emerged over the Cheraw Intermediate I was ready for any challenge Mrs. Thurman through at it and me showed. For the first time in my life I made the A/B honor roll. I was so overjoyed but all I could do was thank Miss. Walter because without her I would not have ever made it that far. Since I came over to the High School I have acceded academically even more. Currently I am not on the all A honor roll. To this day I still thank Miss. Walter for getting me actually involved with my education instead of just teaching
