The year of success In my 19 years I have completed many goals. My main focus in life is my education, God, and my family. My ultimate goal in life is to be known for all of my hard work and an inspiration for young woman struggling in life. Some of my successes since attending Lone Star college are graduating in the top 15% of my high school class, getting accepted into college plus earning scholarships, and obtaining my pharmacy technician certificate, but I still have more successes planned for the end of this year. Their school awarded me with a presidential scholarship for a total of $64,000. My family was extremely proud of my success in school. I planned on majoring in nursing, and was already taking health science courses in high school. In high school I attended Hammond Oliver Health Science Academy for all four years. I was certified to become a pharmacy technician by taking a dual credit class with Blinn College. It made me more aware of the medications I take and how drugs are made. Sadly, I did not choose to obtain my pharmacy technician license upon graduation because I did not enjoy the labor. I really enjoy fashion, so I got a job in retail and still am pursuing my degree to become a nurse. By the end of this year, I will have been working for Kohl's for over six months. I worked in Bryan/College Station at Burger King and Kohl's for only three months. Then in Houston I worked at Macy's for two months. It really opened my eyes on how wonderful Kohl's was and I reapplied for a job on FM 1960. This will be my longest job since I was 16, and I am very proud to be a Kohl's employee. I work part time at my job and easily manage my time with school and working. I will have finished 9 credit hours in college by the end of this year. That will give me a total of 18 credit hours in college. I am so grateful to have taken
