I think that College Athletes cutting classes is affecting high school students, students in general and is teaching all these students bad habits. I strongly believe that school comes first because without an education to fall back on, you will not be able to get a job. This is definitely affecting students because just last year 65.9 percent of high school students opted not to go to college. Another reason is that high school students look up to college students as their heroes. High Schoolers look up to college athletes in whom they hope to be someday. If they see College athletes cutting class then they will think that it is ok to cut class. For example just this year Brandon McCoy who was a 5 star recruit and top basketball player for UNLV dropped out of UNLV because the Basketball season was over and he was thinking that school was no longer important. Brandon McCoy is projected to be a top 20 pick in this years NBA Draft. If Basketball does not work out for McCoy, it will be very hard for him to get a good job because he does not have an education.
