Susan’s just turned in an application for a job, Susan hopes you are good enough for the employer. Now Susan and Susan’s friends are partying having a “good time,” but Susan forgets she is posting all this on social media. Susan’s employer sees this and little does she know, Susan won’t ever get a call back from him. The use of social networking has been implemented in just recent years. Now in over eighty-eight percent of businesses, social networking is used as a way to learn the basics of a person before hiring. Employers and College Boards should be allowed to use social networking when it comes to the final decision in employing or enrolling, it can also be harmful from predators and overuse can be addictive.

Although many people say that is their only way to communicate with distant people. Everyone knows though that addiction is used for more than just talking to distant friends and family. According to Daria Kuss, children and adolescents who start using social media at a young age adopt an addictive form of use. It is easy to notice in public to see young people who never get off their phone. A study conducted by Mark Griffiths shows that many people who say they are “SNS” users, social networking sites, consider themselves addicted to it. Many people find themselves visiting the same social site over and over daily, hourly, or even every few minutes. Another topic mentioned in Mark Griffiths study shows that personal traits and personalities are changed from the use and addiction of social networking. Many people say slurs and sayings that they find off of social media and even talking in different voices that they find off of “SNS”.
