Do you know anything about eating disorders? They are more than just eating or not eating. Eating disorders have three types’ anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating.
Anorexia nervosa is when someone starts to stave themselves to an extreme thickness because they are scared to gain any more weight (Ross-Flanigan). They don’t want to gain any more weight because they may think that their average weight it more than it should be. They tend to make themselves stop eating other than just getting something small or nothing at all that day. They can go days or maybe weeks before they may actually have an actual meal. Since they are not eating all the materials their body needs they will tend to have to stars having muscle cramps, dizziness, fatigue, brain damage, kidney and heart failure (Ross-Flanigan).

It is when people are eating large amounts of food in short periods of time throughout the day (“Eating Disorders.”). Most people can eat a whole meal or more and that can last them for several days. Then after they eat they tend to get rid of the calories by vomiting, laxatives, fasting, or excessive exercising (“Eating Disorder”). They eat all they want but they don’t want that to affect their body. Sometimes they really don’t think about it. They can just eat and they may not realize the last time they actually had a meal. Binge eating is when they just consume more calories than anything else. They usually just eat anything with high carbonated foods, like doughnuts, candy, soft drinks, ice cream. cookies, cereal, cake popcorn, and bread (Ross-Flanigan). They tend to eat normally but they just eat their food faster than an average person would. They may eat more because people who binge eat suffer from depression, repressed anger, anxiety or low self-esteem (Ross-Flanigan). Binge eating can be caused by anything little to cause that person to start eating
