In the history of America, there have been many killers. They are cold-hearted and ruthless. Some killers and some killings are unknown today, but more and more cases are being solved with advanced technology and forensics. The Colorado Hammer Killer, the Killer in the Valley, and Alex Murdaugh are examples of killers.
The Colorado Hammer Killer is a killer who attacked ten people. Out of the ten people attacked, four of them died. On January 4, 1984 at 2:30 a.m, Kim and Jim Haubenschild were attacked by the Colorado Hammer Killer, but they survived. Patricia Smith was the next victim on January 10, 1984. He was struck with a rock and survived. The Colorado Hammer Killer was arrested, but soon escaped on foot while being transported from the Arizona jail on August 9, 1984. He then attacks Nancy and Chris Barry with an ax handle on the same day he escaped. They both survived and the Colorado Hammer Killer was arrested again. The Colorado Hammer Killer was identified as Alex Ewing after DNA testing was done. His final conviction was on April 7, 2022 and he received four life sentences.
The Killer in the Valley is currently unknown, but the investigators are very close to solving it. The first killing happened on June 26, 1981, when a twenty-two year old woman named Kristin David vanished whilst riding on her bike from Moscow to Lewiston idaho. Her body would later be found by local fishermen in three separate garbage bags in a lake. The next victim was a twelve year old girl named Christina White. She was riding her bike to a friend's house after a fair when she vanished. On September 12, 1982, two girls vanished.
