Comcast is a multi-billion company its organization structure is divided into 4 divisions: Corporate Executives, Cable Executives, NBC Universal Executives and Board of Directors. According to my opinion its good decision by the management to divide the company in to different sections or categories. Since this allows the Comcast to be more decentralized and ensures that all division are controlled and coordinated efficiently. This benefits the employees since they can be empowered by having more autonomy to make their own decisions, giving them a sense of importance and making them feel their decision making is vital for the organization. It’s a good strength to have a diverse workforce in an organization, since workers with different qualifications, backgrounds, and experiences are all key to effective problem-solving on the job. Furthermore, availability of bilingual workers in an organization helps the business not to train existing employees or hire new ones. Since these existing diverse employees understand culture and language and have easier time to communicate with customers or representative with same culture. However, Dish TV goal is to make sure employees are committed to achieve best results, and employees possess pride in personal commitment. Moreover, Dish TV believes in taking risks and has the confidence to overcome obstacles, and want employees to embed competitive spirit to make winning reality. Whereas, DirecTV primary goal is to create a sustainable future by reducing carbon foot prints, includes employees implementing new waste reduction project by deploying energy star certified products, and design recyclable café solutions across DirecTV's call center and offices. Comparing Comcast management strategy and goal with their competitors. I believe Comcast has a strong strategy among their competitors, since employees are the key element in making a business run successfully. The main reason it entices me more is because they provide a lot fringe benefits to their employees. Employees can obtain free internet service and home technology support and avail all great products by Comcast. Moreover, employees can buy Comcast stock at 15% discount, and one can get $2500 per year tax free reimbursement of qualifying health expenses or eligible dependent and etc. According to Glassdoor, many employees posted review that the pro of working in Comcast is excellent benefits it provides to its employees. It’s a company which drives innovation since the technology industry is growing and constantly changing in a rapid pace. So if I work one day this will make my job interesting and get greater learning experience since everyday one will be updating their new skills, learning about to how to handle new equipment. Whereas, according to Glassdoor, the benefit of working for Dish Network is good pay is offered to employees who have only been working for the past few years.
