Enders Game by Orson Scott Cars is about a boy named Andrew "Ender" Wiggins. Ender is the youngest of three Genius Children in his family, and both Peter and Valentine have worn the same monitor that Ender wore. Though neither had the monitor for as long, and neither were selected to battle school. Battle School is the Military Run training facility the trains soldiers from the time they are children to be efficient and effective soldier for the international fleet. Enders success in being selected to train at battle school angers Peter, and upsets loving Valentine.
He is a very different character from the other characters in the book. He has his own way of thinking from the other characters he can knows how to handle things that are thrown at him. Mostly the constant pressure. His actions are thought out he just simply knows what he is doing. Ender has a very unique personality no character in this book has personality that relates to his.
Ender’s Game is a book about Ender (Real name Andrew) Wiggin. Ender is a third (not allowed at the time unless the government allows it.) he went to battle school when he was 6 years old he bounced for army to army until he got his own army the dragon army. When he was too good for battle school he was moved to command school where he and his friends are tricked into killing the buggers.
Ender always got teased because he is a third and he blames the government for authorizing his birth. A third is a third child in a place where parents are
In Orson Scott Card’s book Ender’s Game, Ender is continually set up against impossible odds by the International Fleet, which is part of a plan to train Ender to fight in the Third Invasion and end the bugger wars forever. Ender’s trials are portrayed more convincingly in the book, as the book shows him struggling with the expectations placed upon him more so than in the movie. An important theme in Ender’s Game is that Ender is continually kept in the dark about the events happening around him. This theme is prevalent throughout the book, and sets the stage for the book’s climax, the Third Invasion.
Is it really all about the game? One should follow what they believe even if everyone is telling him to do something else. Such is the case in Ender's game. In the novel, Ender is chosen to go to a military school to train him to be the next general against the buggers, which are aliens, before they attack again. The battle school centers around the battle room where kids are trained to work and command armies to fight each other in simulations.
Books are the ideal way to introduce a reader to the many morals of the human society. In the novel Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, Ender, is drafted by the international fleet to lead multiple fleets of ships in combat against an alien species, but he does not realize that he was drafted for that purpose. Ender is sent to Battle School, where he becomes a true archetypal leader, and he gains many valuable friends that help him along the way. At a hidden asteroid, Ender begins what he believes are simulations, but really is the Third Invasion.
Scott Macarthy Mr. Werley English III 22 September 2014 The Destruction of Ender A utopia is supposed to be a perfect world, yet there are rarely any true utopias. Ender’s Game begins with a utopic society, where the government pits Earth against the nasty and evil buggers. Throughout Ender 's Game, written by Orson Scott Card, the reader follows the main protagonist, Ender, from his journey as a young boy on Earth to the hopes of being the next great commander in the fight against the buggers.
It needed a new hero, but no worthy candidate had stepped forward. The Battle School began to pick and choose only certain children to train in strategy in order to see who among them would come to be the best the Earth had to offer, and become the new master strategist that the Earth so desperately needed. Ender was the third child in his family. With the population barriers that limit parents to only two children, this was very rare occurrence. Certain laws were put into effect in order to limit population growth, but Ender’s parents were
And Ender hated himself.” () Virtually identical to the emotional consequence Ender formerly suffered from Stilson, delineates his sentiments regarding Bernard; Card not developing on his idea in the slightest, keeping Ender’s own hatred of himself and the potential individual he apparently mocks
Ender’s Game is a 1985 science fiction novel by Orson Scott Key. Set in the future where an insectoid alien species, the Formics (or the buggers), have attacked Earth twice with devastating results for the human species, Andrew “Ender” Wiggins is humanity's last hope. A child prodigy and main character of Ender’s Game, Ender is sent to Battle School to learn how to fight and destroy the buggers. He is chosen because his characteristics are perfect to be a commander. Some traits that are very important in making Ender who he is are his calculating judgments, creativity, and compassion.
My book report is on "Ender 's Game" by Orson Scott Card. Ender 's Game is a military sci-fi book that has received many awards. The author did continue the series on Ender, however the military aspect of it did not continue with the series. Ender Wiggins was only allowed to born so that he can save the human race from exstinction. Since birth he was a outcast, hated by his brother Peter, and constantly being hurt by everyone except his sister Valentine.
However, the majority of the battles he fights are constructed and orchestrated and controlled by the Adults. Ender lives in a military archetype which assumes humans are compliant, flexible, controllable pawns, tool to be used for the benefit of others. Ender’s insecurities, doubts and fears, as to why he is so isolated, how he is becoming more like petter, how he is an ostracized genius, all that sets him apart– make him diligent, sympathetic, preservant, resilient, flexible, and above all pliable, impressionable, malleable, qualities far more common in children. Supporting quote: “‘So what do we do now?’ asked Alai.
React to the author himself: Orson Scott Card has stated that, “Children are a perpetual, self-renewing underclass, helpless to escape from the decisions of adults until they become adults themselves.” Does Ender’s Game prove or disprove this opinion? Enders game disproves this opinion because even when Ender was being pushed around by adults and given orders, he knows what he’s capable of and what he can do. Ender is capable of so much compassion and intelligence. They are stronger, quicker, and much more intelligent than most adults and are capable of being dangerous human beings.
In Persepolis, a bildungsroman genre graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi, the main character experienced many events that made her become fully grown up in Iran, yet the turning point was her life in Vienna. A bildungsroman is a novel that describes the process in which the character grows from child to adult, which he or she has a reason to start a journey while the coming of age is difficult, suffering, uncomfortable, and long. There are many particular events where Marjane has many difficulties on the process of maturity. When Marjane is still a child in Iran, terrible historical events happened around her and formed her to become more mature. Although they made her become a mature child, the real part of her life that changed her were her days in Vienna where she really understood the cruelty of the outside world and herself.
