There are some unmistakable common characteristics that each of these structures share, as most have a similar design and layout. The exception of these structures is the church located in Africa as it does not have the layout of a cross at the top of the building’s peak, which is used as a symbol.The color can convey certain beliefs as well. For example the color white in some religions, such as christianity means pure which is why the churches are painted white. Another difference between the church in Africa and the churches in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia is that it is very close to the ground and has little space. The rest however are all tall and wide. These churches are grand and looked well kept, but worldwide depending on where you are and where you live the size varies from a little and small to a large and pristine. The common characteristics are used to show and conserve the traditions, beliefs, and cultures. These churches use color and the cross as symbols that convey certain customs and religious beliefs. By having these common characteristics the churches become consolidated and banded together as a safe place for people who share the same religious vales. Since most of the structures are tall, wide, and grand they express power and value. Displaying the belief that they are more useful and influential in society. All showing these values through the layout and color contributed among them. Since most of these churches look like that of a palace, they can easily be seen from far away. The churches are eye-catchers and the structure’s architecture can bring a sense of purity and higher being. People could recognize this and become more likely to accept the religion into their every day
