My grandmother always tells me, “ As the years go by, the more advanced technology gets.” In the past 100 years, technology has taken a large jump, communication has changed, environment, and education have also changed. About 87% of the world now have smart phone, watches, and televisions.

First and foremost, communication has declined big time. Many people do not communicate face-to-face anymore. They usually call or text someone when they need or want to communicate with them. In the 1800’s and early 1900’s, all people had to communicate with was either letters or waiting until they saw the person they wanted to talk to. Back then, there were no cell phones, so they would have to do something we never do anymore. Today we have cell phones, smart watches, e-mail, FaceTime, Skype, and other things that keep us from communicating with people like they did way back then. Today, many children are not safe or in a good home environment. Some children are being taken, killed, or seriously hurt, because they do not have a safe home environment. Many kids today, are being put into foster homes, because their parents are not good caregivers, or they refuse to help the child.
