Identity is made up of many different factors including heritage, the choices made throughout a lifetime and possibly the most significant community. But How does community influence identities? It can be proven that the community around a person is the true main factor of their identity. Community is the main factor because it changes how a person thinks. Moreover, it makes someone feel wanted or unwanted. Lastly, community helps to explain who someone is. To begin, Community is a dominant aspect of identity as it changes how a person thinks. First, thinking changes depending on who and what someone is around which is community. For example, someone raised around parents and family who love soccer and watch games and play all the time. That person would enjoy the sport as well as they do not know any other sport. Firstly, everyone needs people around to feel complete. It is a proven fact that company and relationships are a factor humans need for survival. A person wouldn't feel whole without it. As humans we tend to want people to like us. Identity is made up of beliefs, personality and other similar aspects. Being liked by others and having people that love them helps make people feel content. The people around someone are a community. In addition, feeling wanted is a part of who we are and what we become. Growing up somewhere where someone is not like others changes their identity. If they grow up around people who like them, they will tend to be more social and outgoing as they are used to talking and socializing whereas if they grow up around people who aren't like them and they don't belong they might become scared to socialize as they have not had the best experiences in the past.
