On the day of September 11, 2001, it was the most unprepared event for the U.S.; two towers were hit and killed nearly 3,000 people. This changed the world forever and has a lot of information on why it happened. It has changed everyone’s perspective on life and the world. It definitely changed the way airport security is now.

Nineteen terrorists were successful in taking control of four aircraft that were leaving Boston's Logan airport on September 11, 2001. They chose the aircraft because they had longer flights ahead of them and would have more fuel to carry out their attack. The terrorists' primary goal was to bring down the major American landmarks, including the Pentagon, Wall Street, and the World Trade Center, which is located near the White House and the Pentagon. In addition to having a significant impact on Canada and the economy, the 9/11 attack led to an increase in airport security and the beginning of the Afghan War. The events of 9/11 had a profoundly negative effect on everyone in the world, not just in New York and the USA.

The attack caused things such as tourism and travel to come to a halt. Many civilians became extremely terrified of traveling anywhere after the attack, which caused places like the airport to lose money. 9/11 created a very negative impact not only on New York and the USA but on the whole world. Airport security was changed for the better to prevent another attack like this from reoccurring and is still processing this day. So without Canada’s help in this attack, 9/11 would have been very different. The war on terror brought many tragedies, but the mission was fulfilled, and Osama bin Laden was brought to justice.
