Utopia- An imagined world or place where everything is perfect and equal. Generally, a perfect world is different in perspective of other people. One’s view on a perfect world may be different compared to one else. When more thought is put to it, one would think a perfect world is not a perfect world after all. Many imperfections would still exist throughout its society. One’s opinion on a utopian world is that it will always create disagreements. One would think a utopian world is a bad concept because it will rely on each and every person to cooperate. Another reason a perfect world is a bad concept because people would feel the need to lie in order for the world to even exist and continue to create the ideal world. One would suppose of this because people would feel the need to be dishonest and the absence of trust between individuals would be strong. In the book, Christopher finds letters written to him by his mother but had been hidden from his father. Christopher’s father, Mr. Boone said “I did it for your good, Christopher. Honestly I did. I never meant to lie. I just thought… I just thought it was better if you didn’t know…” (Page 114). Mr. Boone had lied to him about his mother being dead for his own being to make sure he wasn’t the fault for his parent’s separation. He lied to him to create a perfect world for him to make sure he would continue to accomplish his future. In comparison, a perfect world relies on its people to follow the same ways as everyone else. In which there may be a disagreement of what to follow but for the sake of the world they must continue to lie.
