Currently, the nonprofit helps and serves 92, 351 military veterans and 20,238 military family members gain access to four programs, mind, body, economic empowerment and encouragement. (Who We Serve, 2916) Weakness: Documents have shown that only 60% of the funds that have been donated have been used on the veterans in need. This means that 40% of the nonprofit’s fund have been misallocated and used on executive’s salaries, company conferences, travel expenses and luxury amenities.
Lisa Messinger (50) is a philanthropist and past President of the Westchester Reform Temple, where she was also served as a board and executive committee member. During her tenure as Westchester Reform’s president, she co-led a $20 million capital campaign, created programs for different age groups and developed new fundraising strategies, which significantly broadened its donor base. Often times fundraising starts out strong in the fall, but then declines in the spring. To prevent this, I hope to revitalize fundraising in the spring by having incentives for donating. For example, if you raise $50, you can receive a hand written letter from your state’s Governor. These incentives will spark fundraising in the spring. Through new fundraising efforts, I know that we can surpass previous fundraising records and have the most successful year
Beat Auburn Beat Hunger was founded in 1994 by Henry Lipsy, director of West Alabama Food Bank. Lipsy came up with the idea of a friendly competition between the University of Alabama and Auburn to raise canned food for the hungry and needy in the state of Alabama (BeatAuburnBeatHunger.edu ). Over the last 23 years, Beat Auburn Beat Hunger has become the largest organization on campus following after SGA. BABH was created to raise awareness of food deprivation in the state of Alabama. If someone goes shopping and spends hundreds of dollars on items and don’t donate, that says something about who they are as a person. While shopping a constant reminder is right there. A sad, innocent, starving, child stares up begging for someone to help. While the shopper may be well-off or struggling to put groceries on the table for their family, they then realize that there is someone out there who has it much worse. Shoppers who may not be very eager to donate begin to see how ignoring this world problem makes reflects on them as a person.

Introduction The Dallas-area is home to a great majority of the Texas population. Citizens in the Dallas region are a unique and very powerful part of our Texas community and it is vital that we, as Texans, must protect our valuable ecosystem. As members of the JCPenney community outreach program, we strive to incorporate new ideas to help our metroplex thrive and grow. It is important to JCPenney to promote social responsibility and sustain community engagement among the Dallas area. We have designed an innovative way to aid the homeless within our greater Dallas area.
The Greater New Orleans Foundation Charity Organizations make an important contribution to the social community. Charities provide essential services that positively impact the lives of citizens such as, building schools, hospitals, and etc. The Greater New Orleans Foundation is one of the oldest and largest foundations in New Orleans. Every day, the foundation joins other foundations, non-profit organizations, community leaders, and many others help out the community and solve its problems. It helps create a strong and tolerable community to make individuals feel safe.
