The United States and Canada During the Great Depression The Great Depression was a terrible financial crisis in the 1930s that affected virtually every country in the world. Two of the countries that were really hit hard during the depression were the United States and Canada.
There are many comparisons between Egypt and the United States. Such differences include: population, infant mortality rate, import and exports, literacy rate, and GDP. The data stated all consist of a rates lower than those of the United states. I chose this data specifically because I think these play major roles (along with others) in the level of development within a country. Egypt’s GDI (Gender Development Index) of between .50 and .69 compared to the U.S’s around .90 GDI, show that women aren’t treated as equally as the men.
Mexico and Cuba underwent major revolutions led by rebels who opposed their current presidents. The revolutionaries in both countries were mainly concerned with the industrialization and modernization that was occurring within their countries. The uprisings resulted in the countries shared beliefs against foreign imperialism, against elites having so much control on their counties and push for land reforms. In the long run Mexico faired better after their revolution than Cuba. Cuba still experiences hostile tensions with the U.S. today and still practices rationing.
Contrast between Chile and USA During my whole life I’ve been back and forth, living between Chile and USA. I’ve lived in both countries for almost the same amount of years each. I think if I hadn’t lived here when I was smaller, I would feel a big cultural shock. Geographically Chile is very extensive and in length, we have a great variety of climates and landforms. We can take the bus from the middle of a region and in 1hour be either at the mountains full of snow or at the sea.

Cuba and Mexico share more than just language and existing in what some call Latin America, they are brothers that were raised by the same family, but after coming of age and leaving home they went in very different directions. Cuba and Mexico both experienced the extended struggle to become independent nations and each was forced into a bloody revolution by a different set of circumstances. Countries from all around the world have similarities and differences. Even though countries can be located in different parts of the world, they can share some similarities. Examples of two countries that share similarities and are far away from each other are the USA and Egypt. Because of modernization, the USA and Egypt share many similarities. Egypt and the USA can be compared through many things such as traditions, religion, and economy.

Each country has its own appeal and positives and often times we find ourselves comparing the resemblances and differences between these nations based on a variety of aspects like geography, culture, language, economy, government, weather and so on. Ethiopia is a country with a rich historic background which comes with a variety culture. The U.S is another country with an amusing culture.
Saudi Arabia is one of the most religionist places for the Islam, has two of the holiest shrines Masjid al-Haram (The Sacred Mosque), is a large mosque in the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia and the second largest in Islam. It surrounds the Kaaba, the place which all Muslims turn towards each day in prayer, considered by Muslims to be the holiest place on Earth (Masjid al-Haram – Kaaba, n.d.). Saudi Arabia is surrounded by two bodies of water, the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. Countries that border Saudi Arabia are Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Saudi Arabia is about the size of one-fifth of the United Sates which is 784,233 sq miles.
The United States and Mexico have many similar attributes when it comes to each country’s government. Both countries have a federal republic type of government, meaning that they are both a federal union of states or provinces with a republic form of government. In this paper, it will examine each country's strengths and weaknesses for addressing the four modern purposes of government. These modern purposes of governments are public services, national security, economic decisions, and social order.

Since oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia in 1933 the United States oil companies were in control of the oil companies and operations in Saudi Arabia allowing the United States to have control of what happens with the oil. The Saudi Arabian government eventually bought ARAMCO out of United States oil company control in 1988 and was already an established and efficient oil company that was now fully under Saudi Arabia’s control. Since ARAMCO is such a well-established oil company they have been successful at changing how the rest of the world sees them. In a book review of Saudi Arabian history J.B Kelly exposes how the authors were influenced by ARAMCO to make the Saudi Arabian government and royal family seem more favorable in the eyes of the world. The review brings up specific examples from the history book that are incorrect or swayed in favor of Saudi Arabia’s government and royal family such as not bringing up harsh rule that the government has had on their people so that the rest of the world would see Saudi Arabia as a peaceful and respectable country .
On the contrary, Saudi Arabia is an Absolute Monarchy under absolute rule of the Saudi royal family and one of the most controlled governments on the earth. Saudi Arabia is an Islamic theocratic monarchy, and it is the largest country in the Middle East. Is the home of the two holiest places in Islam, and it's ruled by the House of Saud. And according to reports from the freedom house organization “The strict regime ruling the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is consistently ranking amongst “the worst of the worst” in Freedom House’s annual survey of political and civil rights.
